CACO COMMUNITY CAMPING 2025
Nestled alongside the beautiful Oregon coastline, Camp Meriwether is a spectacular outdoor venue perfect for families. With over 790 acres of forest that house 18 large campsites with additional space for field camping, all campsites and spaces, (excluding rentable dorms) are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Registration for CACO Community Camping 2025 opens on April 1. Only 1000 tickets will be available for our camping event so space is limited. All guest are encourage to register early! Walk-up registration is available but tickets are not guaranteed.
Check-in begins on FRIDAY, AUGUST 29, 2025, at 9AM, and check-out is on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at 10 AM.

CHECKING INTO CAMP
Check-in for CACO Community Camping 2025 will begin on Friday, August 29th, 2025 at 9 AM. All guest will be required to register their name, address, email, phone number, vehicle information. Please note that registration will close at 8 PM on Friday and at 4 PM on Saturday. Camp Admission:

CAMPSITES AND AMENITIES
Guests are encouraged to review the Camp Meriwether map to determine the best campsite for your party. All campsite and spaces are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Reserving and holding campsites are not allowed. We are also offering dorms with private bathroom, showers, and 4 bunk beds for disabled individuals, elderly participants (ages 60+), pregnant campers, and those with infants (under 12 months old) at no charge. *As of 07/16/2025 all dorms have been reserved. * Camp Meriwether also has primitive outhouses and hand washing sinks located throughout each campsite, as well as two main shower houses with personal bathroom located north and south of the service roads. Once guest have located, unpacked, and settled into their campsite, all vehicles must be parked at either the Overflow Parking Lot or the Beach Parking Lot. Due to emergency vehicle access, all guest are not allowed to park their vehicles at their campsite or on the service roads. Firewood bundles will also be available to purchase near the South shower house (near Viking campsite) for $4 a bundle, or 3 bundles for $10. The Discovery Lodge is the main facility that houses the dining hall and Saturday night potluck dinner. Nightly music, dance and karaoke will be held here throughout the weekend as well. |

CACO COMMUNITY CAMPING RULES AND REGULATIONS
For the safety of CACO Community Camp volunteers, BSA scouts and staff, and Community Camping guests, the camp rules, regulations, and protocols are as follows:
- No early arrival or check-in allowed beyond posted registration times (Friday: 9AM-7PM; Saturday: 9AM-5PM)
- No drugs, alcohol, gambling allowed on BSA campgrounds
- No fireworks, or personal firearms, ammunition, or items that contain or are operated by gunpowder
- No fighting, verbal/sexual harassment or abuse
- No pets are allowed on camp property. Leashes do not change this rule.
- No boats, RV's, campers, trailers, ATV's, dirt bikes, dune buggies, etc. allowed on BSA campgrounds
- No CACO Community Camping guest may ride in the back of a car or van, in the bed of a pick-up truck, in an enclosed trailer, or on a flatbed trailer, etc.
- No fires or gas-fueled lanterns or stoves are allowed to be lit inside any adirondak, mini-dak, or tent.
- Please dispose of all garbage and recycling in proper bins located at each campsite
- Please dispose coal and ashes in designated fire pits
- Please ensure all fires have no burning coal and is extinguish upon departure from campsite
- Please dispose wastewater into in campsite sinks or at main lodge
- Do not feed, trap, or pet the wild animals.
- Do not damage, cut down, or remove remove trees
- Do not leave any valuables visible in your vehicle
- Do not drive any vehicles into any campsites or program areas.
- Water pipes follow camp trails and driving over them can cause underground breaks.
- CACO Community Camping guest must wear admission wristbands at all times during camping weekend
- All vehicles need to be parked in either the main beach parking lot or the overflow parking lot for the weekend.
- Camp parking permits must be displayed on dashboards of vehicles at all times
- No parking in or around campsites or main roads.
- Follow Camp Meriwether speed limits
- 10 mph on the gravel road into camp; 5 mph past the overflow or main parking lots.
- No non-private barter or exchange without the approval of CACO Community Camp Coordinators
